Most traditional witches are atheists, although there may be a few who have a theological view of things. Most witches worldwide do not believe in or acknowledge the concept of a creator god or a supreme being. We do not abide by any standardized moral code.
Nonetheless, we can become affected by the culture around us, which has been tainted by Christian-thought. This is something we must guard against for our own self-preservation.
We must not allow ourselves to be deceived into working against our own best interests by those who wish us harm.
Wiccan Disclaimer: This article refers to traditional witchcraft, not Wicca or other forms of neo-paganism, but it mentions members of these groups because we are all witches. The following is only the author’s opinion based on research and personal experience.
Christian Historical Revisionism and Dominionism
Portrait of Cotton Mather (Feb. 12, 1663 – Feb. 13, 1728), American Puritan clergyman whose legacy is violence and perversion in the name of God.
The Infiltration of Christianity into American Culture
In recent decades, Christians have sought to worm their way into all aspects of our lives. This effort went into full swing in the 1950s when they inserted the phrase “under God” into the Pledge of Allegiance. The phrase “In God We Trust” was adopted under Eisenhower in 1956. In recent years, Christian preachers, in particular those called “Dominionists,” have undertaken to re-write the history of the U.S. and make it appear as if the country was founded by Christians. Although, anyone who looks at the origins of the U.S., particularly the pagan, Masonic aspects, will quickly ascertain that this is not true.
The United States was largely an experiment in escaping tyranny, in particular religious tyranny. My own ancestors were among the first in the wild and dangerous places as they moved further and further westward, preferring to rely on their own wits than to live in society.
In the early years on the frontier, there were no churches and there was little to no crime. There were no “legal” or church-sanctioned marriages. Instead, couples lived together under what is known as common law. This is a natural law in which no third party, such as a church or government stands between two people in a relationship. In those days, migrant preachers were known, but they were rare and the average person was largely non-religious. They may have kept Bibles in their homes, but they were not zealots and according to their descendants and folklorists, they often understood them as the magical grimoires they are. Many people practiced folk magic and some practiced darker forms of witchcraft and they did so without being condemned by institutionalized religion.
Witches have never been the most cooperative members of society. We have always been independent and self-reliant loners. Because of the knowledge we possess, we do not need many of the things that the average person requires to live. For example, we do not rely on allopathic health care or have need of health care insurance. Many of us have found that the society, which so many people speak of with affection, has not been conducive to our happiness or success. Women, in particular, are not regarded equally under the law, our businesses are marginalized and we are subjected to violence and harassment, largely as a result of the infection of Christianity American society has experienced in the past 70 years.
The Christian History of Persecution of Witches
Christianity is the most diabolically evil institution to arrive upon our shores. Their legacy is bondage, sexual perversion, oppression and violence. The Latin roots of the word “diabolical” mean “liar.” This term is exemplified in the duplicity of Christianity.
It is a lie for Christians to say they are followers of Jesus Christ, who – if he actually existed – was a very powerful and talented magician, much like the yogis of the East and his contemporary counterpart Simon the Mage. The Jesus Christ figure depicted in the New Testament was a benevolent peacemaker who advocated for the human rights of persecuted classes of people. By contrast, Christianity is a representation of the polar opposite of Christ-likeness.
Christians speak of the love of Christ, but “love” to them means murder in the name of religion. When they do not murder, they seek to enslave. Many of the “hate groups” in the United States today, as designated by the Southern Poverty Law Center, are Christian churches.
We do not have to look far to find examples of their atrocities and their duplicity, many such instances are readily available in their own cherished book. Here we see that their Ten Commandments admonishes, “Thou shall not kill,” while their evil god destroys cities and orders the murder of specific categories of people. It says, “Thou shalt not commit adultery,” while their god orders the rape of girls and women. It says, “Love thy neighbor as thyself,” while it silences and subjugates women.
Here are some examples from their very own book. The following are quotes from the King James Version of the Bible – you will recall that King James was a sophisticated serial killer of women and alleged witches in 17th century England, who enjoyed the torture of women so much he would, personally, go into the dungeons to interrogate those he had arrested.
In 1 Chronicles 21, “god” orders the murder of 70,000 innocents. He orders the destruction of 60 cities so his “Chosen People” can live there
In Judges 21, he demands the people of Jabesh-Gilead, except for the young girls who were to be raped and married. When god’s people want to rape, they simply kidnap and marry their victims.
Violence Against Women at the Hands of the Church in Europe
In Numbers 31:7-18,” he orders the rape of unmarried women and girls and the murder of everyone else: “And they warred against the Midianites, as the Lord commanded Moses; and they slew all the males. And they slew the kings of Midian, beside the rest of them that were slain; namely, Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, five kings of Midian: Balaam also the son of Beor they slew with the sword. And the children of Israel took all the women of Midian captives, and their little ones, and took the spoil of all their cattle, and all their flocks, and all their goods. And they burnt all their cities wherein they dwelt, and all their goodly castles, with fire. And they took all the spoil, and all the prey, both of men and of beasts. And they brought the captives, and the prey, and the spoil, unto Moses, and Eleazar the priest, and unto the congregation of the children of Israel, unto the camp at the plains of Moab, which are by Jordan near Jericho. And Moses, and Eleazar the priest, and all the princes of the congregation, went forth to meet them without the camp. And Moses was wroth with the officers of the host, with the captains over thousands, and captains over hundreds, which came from the battle. And Moses said unto them, Have ye saved all the women alive? Behold, these caused the children of Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to commit trespass against the Lord in the matter of Peor, and there was a plague among the congregation of the Lord. Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him. But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.
Is it any wonder that since the Christian influence has become stronger we have seen a massive increase in violent crime and in particular rape and other violence against women and children, which largely goes on with impunity since the same influence is now in every institution?
When anyone speaks the truth about the churches, they are quick to cry that they are being persecuted. They demand respect and tolerance from others, while offering nothing but death, perversion, violence and sugary lies in return.
They talk about feeling the “love of Christ.” They swear that every word of the Bible, a book which has been substantially altered innumerable times, is the word of God – “the Gospel truth.” But, look at the difference between what they say and what their book says; which, also, is the difference between what they say and what they do.
What Does the Bible Say About Witches?
It is no exaggeration to say that Christianity loathes women. It is at the hands of the churches over the centuries that thousands, perhaps millions (they dig up graves of women apparently murdered as witches in Europe from time to time) have been sexually brutalized and murdered in the name of god.
These atrocities continue today, but in a different form and with different names, such as “domestic abuse” and “violence against women.” The intent seems to be as in centuries past, to shut women up and deny them equal participation in society. Presently, in this Christian-dominated nation, women are not provided with equal protection under the law, are given harsh penalties for defending their own lives and marginalized by the extreme level of sexual violence in the U.S., which is practically a sacrament.
Christians preachers usually speak with gentle voices, especially when they are addressing those outside their congregations. But, when they speak to their loyal congregations, the truth comes out. They are full of hatred for women, minorities and anyone who doesn’t fall into lockstep with them.
If you do not agree with them, they want you dead. It’s in their own books and no matter what sweet-sounding lies they tell, this fact cannot be denied. Hateful acts begin with hateful words and few are as hateful as those found within the Judeo-Christian Bible.
Exodus 22:18 “Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live.”
Leviticus 20:27 “A man also or woman that hath a familiar spirit, or that is a wizard, shall surely be put to death: they shall stone them with stones: their blood shall be upon them.”
1 Timothy 2: 11-12 “Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.”
The message is clear, if you are a witch or a psychic, they want you dead. If you are a woman, at the very least, they want you to shut up and be subjugated to their perversity and violence.
In return, they demand your respect and tolerance, of course. If you point out this obvious injustice, they will accuse you of “bashing” them or of being “angry” or “hateful.”
Please, remember this: You have no obligation to people who wish to do you or your family harm.
The Modern Witch Hunters
Since they are no longer legally permitted to openly kill us through formal processes as they have done in the past, they work behind the scenes to marginalize us financially, socially and in other ways. They work against independent women by permitting violence against us to go largely unpunished. They marginalize and destroy our businesses in local political campaigns. In many parts of the U.S., if a church is within so many feet of your business that they feel conflicts with something in their doctrines, you will be denied a license. Night clubs, restaurants, strip clubs, grocery stores and bookstores around the country are subjected to raids, sometimes violent ones.
They have taken hold, not only of government, but of the very powerful medium of television. They had their hay day during the “Satanic Panic” of the 1980s when they falsified stories of Satanic rituals and witchcraft. They went on for many years until a series of scandals involving illicit affairs, fraud, rape and blackmail. One of the most notorious of these was Jim Bakker of the PTL who was sentenced to 45 years in federal and a $500,000 fine. The lengthy sentence was later substantially reduced. But, this didn’t stop Bakker, who literally claimed that “the devil” caused his downfall, from continuing his evangelical ministry with his own theater and television show with many Christian devotees.
Christians openly admit that they are sinners and believe that their “god loves sinners.” In Christianity, a sinner is a “person who transgresses against divine law by committing an immoral act or acts.” Meanwhile they condemn witches and women as witches.
The old witch hunters have survived into this century with us.
Here is the evidence:
The following is a quote from Pat Robertson who opposed the 1972 ERA Act, which would have given equal rights under the law to women. Imagine the ways in which the passage of this law might have improved your life. But, it did not pass, largely due to Christian opposition.
“Feminism is a socialist, anti-family, political movement that encourages women to leave their husbands, kill their children, practice witchcraft, destroy capitalism and become lesbians.”
Christian Advocates Shunning Witches “Daughters of the Devil”
In the video to the right Pat Robertson advocates shunning family members who are psychics or practice witchcraft.
Robertson might just seem like an idiot or a clown on the surface, but he ran for President of the United States in 1986 and he has a large following from his television broadcast.
Robertson’s television station is called CBN or Christian Broadcasting Network. Kimberly Daniels is a CBN Contributor who wrote an article full of hatred and inflammatory lies about witches and witchcraft in 2009, entitled “The Dangers of Celebrating Halloween:”
“The danger of Halloween is not in the scary things we see but in the secret, wicked, cruel activities that go on behind the scenes. These activities include: Sex with demons; Orgies between animals and humans; Animal and human sacrifices; Sacrificing babies to shed innocent blood; Rape and molestation of adults, children and babies; Revel nights; Conjuring of demons and casting of spells; Release of ‘time-released’ curses against the innocent and the ignorant” (http://www.charismamag.com/blogs/prophetic-insight/7134-the-danger-of-celebrating-halloween)
According to modern witch finder and Christian, Jay Rogers, child sacrifice from Salem Massachusetts has survived into this century under the guise of Wicca. In his article, “Salem’s Witch Cult and America’s Abortion Industry,” Jay Rogers attacks Laurie Cabot, specifically and makes a lot of suggestions about human sacrifice without saying it directly. In this same article, he attacks witchcraft and Wicca specifically:
The promotion of abortion is not just a political issue for members of Wicca; it is part of a religious agenda – the religion of witchcraft and child sacrifice….we were not able to ascertain whether or not Witches use the blood of aborted children in their sacrifices….it stands to reason that such a sacrifice, protected by law, could be used by witches.” http://www.forerunner.com/champion/X0039_Child_Sacrifice_in_t.html)
Wiccans are not usually promoting any kind of political agenda. They just want to be left alone. They don’t want to be harassed and threatened. Witchcraft, in general, is the practice of diverse people who are not especially open, do not organize and do not have a unified political or any other agenda.
By contrast, Christians are very political and many of them believe they have the right to place god ahead of the law.
Right now we are faced with the threat of a Mormon president. Please see, “Joseph Smith and the Mormons: Witchcraft and Occultism in Mormonism.” Mormonism is a particularly diabolical religious cult that subjugates women and children and advocates the practice of polygamy, a form of sexual slavery for women and girls, as a fundamental part of their doctrines. Despite denials from the LDS church, polygamy is still practiced in the Temple.
Christian Says Witches Should Be Dominated
Christians sometimes speak very sweetly to outsiders, at least, at first. It is when they have an audience of their own kind that the truth comes out and you see that they do believe the words in their book.
In the video to the right from RevelationTV a “kind” Christians suggests that we should not be murdered, but rather witches should be “dominated”
Numerous Christian television programs regularly feature bogus stories of alleged witches being converted to their religion.
They have an organized effort on television, within local government and higher aspects of government to undermine witches and any other group they deem an “enemy of god.” One of their arguments is that it isn’t the individual Christian who is acting against you, but their god from whom they are taking orders. They hold their god’s law over all other and will disregard the law, if necessary, to harm you.
By contrast, witches are independent. We do not have a lobby group and outside of a few small Wiccan advocacy groups, there is no one to speak for us. If we speak out publicly, we must do so carefully, because there is likely to be reprisals.
Sometimes Christians will act friendly toward you in an effort to convert you or to obtain your confidence. As you hear their sweet words, you will do well to remember the horrible words in their books, which call for your condemnation, subjugation and murder. Do not underestimate their capacity for deception and cruelty.
The following are recent examples of the persecution of witches in the United States:
‘Wynne … said her home has been vandalized and townspeople have tried to forcibly “exorcise” demons out of her, poisoned her cats and threatened to burn her house. “They flipped over my refrigerator. They squirted ketchup and mustard everywhere. They’ve written ‘Die, witch.'” (“South Carolina: Witch Persecuted by Christians” By Austin Cline, About.com GuideAugust 11,2004 http://atheism.about.com/b/2004/08/11/south-carolina-witch-persecuted-by-christians.htm)
Burnet, Texas has been the scene of two cases of witchcraft persecutions in 2003 and, again, in 2009.
In the first instance in 2003, Wiccans who ran a store in Burnet were threatened and eventually forced to leave town by the local Christians. The original KXAN report cannot be found, but an article, “The Persecution of Wiccans” by Austin Cline, remains at About.com:
“The group says they relocated to Burnet in April after pressure to leave from community groups in Kingsland. They say they’re receiving threats in one case to burn down their business.”(http://atheism.about.com/b/2003/08/03/persecution-of-wiccans.htm)
The original Austin-Statesman article about the 2009 event cannot be found, but a brief article by the same author as referenced above is found at About.com: Austin-American Statesman:
“Over the past 10 months, Allen said, threatening phone calls have poured in and strange cars have followed her home from her store at night. The police dismissed her requests for protection, she said. Allen also claims that in March, one Llano County sheriff’s deputy told her daughter that “we had a family practicing witchcraft awhile back, but we ran them out of town.” (http://atheism.about.com/b/2003/08/06/more-on-the-persecution-of-wiccans-in-texas.htm)
In South Carolina, a Wiccan couple endured extreme harassment from their neighbors and a government agency, DHHR, took their children. They had to sue the government to try to get them back after being accused of engaging in the human sacrifice of their own children.
“A family of Wiccans falsely accused of sacrificing their children during religious ceremonies sued the state’s Department of Health and Human Resources for allegedly harassing them and taking possession of their children.”
“The couple contends they have been continually harassed since moving to West Virginia in 1999.”
“On one occasion, DHHR officials and a State Police trooper were called to investigate an allegation that the couple had killed their youngest child in a sacrifice and were carrying the boy’s body with them. A later DHHR visit came from another false report that the couple’s children had been sacrificed.” (“Wiccan family files suit against DHHR” by Charles Shumaker “The Charleston Gazette,” July 28, 2004 http://wwrn.org/articles/9560/?&place=north-america§ion=occult)
Another case from 2008 highlights the dangers of living openly as a witch when you have children and how government agencies that purport to protect children can be manipulated by persecutors. A family was completely torn apart and forced to flee as fugitives because of false reports to the Department of Social Services (DSS) by their Christian neighbors. ( “Pagan Persecution a National Travesty” by Lady Passion, High Priestess, Coven Oldenwilde, Asheville, NC Published February, 2008, in Oracle 20/20 Magazine. http://oldenwilde.org/oldenwilde/members/lady-passion-articles/pagan-persecution-a-national-travesty_part-1.html)
The following is a typical example of how witches may be undermined or sabotaged at work. TSA worker, Carole Smith was fired from her job under the pretense of poor job performance, but it seems likely there were other reasons. As a person of integrity, she was concerned about lax security at the airport and became a whistleblower. She was, also subjected to witchcraft accusations by co-workers:
“A co-worker even complained that Smith cast a disabling spell on the heater of her car one snowy evening,” (“Wiccan Lawsuit: Carole Smith claims TSA fired her for being a ‘witch'” by Larry McShane, Daily New Staff Writer, March 31, 2011 http://articles.nydailynews.com/2011-03-31/news/29386452_1_tsa-wiccan-witch-hunt)
Some witches do not feel safe or comfortable telling their own family members about their witchcraft practice. The following article is from the New York Times:
“A stay-at-home mother of two in Northern Virginia who was raised Southern Baptist keeps her Wiccan faith secret. Not even her mother knows.” (“Wiccans Keep the Faith With a Religion Under Wraps” by Stephanie Kuykendal, The New York Times, May 16, 2007. http://www.nytimes.com/2007/05/16/us/16wiccan.html)
Local officials have ways of making life unpleasant for businesses they don’t like. Back in 1991, I visited a metaphysical store in Independence, Missouri that had advertised a psychic fair. I had a nice reading, bought a few pretty items and really enjoyed myself. The next weekend, the store conducted its psychic fair as usual and was raided by Independence police. The psychics were arrested and a very hateful, insulting article was printed in the local newspaper about them and the store. I found this raid to be very intimidating and never returned to the store, again. You can see a scan of this article at the address below:
“Police Raid Surprises Psychics” Lodi News-Sentinel, Associated Press, January 28, 1991 Independence, MO, http://news.google.com/newspapers?nid=2209&dat=19910208&id=U4NKAAAAIBAJ&sjid=6JMMAAAAIBAJ&pg=6938,1542909
Here is an article about a similar raid in Pennsylvania printed in The Telegraph, February 8, 1991, by Kelly P. Kissel of Associated Press entitled, “Charged Fortune Tellers Had Trouble Predicting Their Own Future:” http://news.google.com/newspapers?nid=2209&dat=19910208&id=U4NKAAAAIBAJ&sjid=6JMMAAAAIBAJ&pg=6938,1542909
It is interesting to me that the above article is very similar to the one printed in the local paper about the Independence store. This is an example of how Christians harass and undermine witches by legalistic means. I believe all charges were dropped, but this doesn’t change the fact that the stores and their clientele were intimidated and harassed. The damage was done and the witches were never compensated. When I was working as a professional psychic, this raid and similar ones were always at the back of my mind.
These are only a few explicit examples. Most instances of witchcraft persecution don’t make the news because Christians are subtle and devious. They will usually spread gossip, try to undermine you or sabotage your work, rather than going for a direct assault. But, this depends on the balance of power where you live. In places where you are very outnumbered by Evangelicals or Mormons, you can be in real physical danger.
What is respect?
The Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines “respect” as “a feeling of deep admiration for someone or something elicited by their abilities, qualities, or achievements.”
What is tolerance?
The above referenced book defines “tolerance” as “the ability or willingness to tolerate something, in particular the existence of opinions or behavior that one does not necessarily agree with: “religious tolerance.”
Clearly, Christianity is not deserving of the respect of any decent, thinking person. And, tolerance becomes a problem when Christians destroy our livelihood, subject us to violence with impunity, attempt to silence us and force us to live in the shadows. Unless you agree that you should be murdered because you practice witchcraft, there is clearly no room for tolerance of Christianity.
You are never obligated to show respect to or cooperate with people who have stated that it is their mission to destroy you. Do not be deceived by the honey-laden words that drip from their mouths about the “love of Christ.” Look at their own book! And, look at their actions!
Furthermore, we should become aware of what actions Christian groups are taking against us so we can defend ourselves and our families as best we can.
If you have noticed an increase in the number of churches and their influence in your city lately, as I have, you may have wondered why. When George W. Bush was in office, he passed a wholly un-Constitutional and evil law called the “Faith-based Initiative,” which gives your taxpayer money to Christian churches who meet government standards and agree to preach according to their guidelines.
“We want to fund programs that save Americans one soul at a time.” President George W. Bush, January, 2004, in a speech in New Orleans (http://www.theocracywatch.org/faith_base.htm)
There is a big effort underway by various powerful Christian groups to undermine the laws of the U.S. and take Americans, especially women and minorities, back in time before the Civil Rights Act was passed. Many witches are not political. We mind our own business and expect others to do the same, but it may benefit us to pay attention to what has been going on in the past 10 to 15 years with regard to the erosion of our basic human rights
If you participate in politics, try to vote out those who who do not have your best interests at heart – those who want you marginalized, suffering and dead. Keep abreast of the efforts of groups like ALEC, the Dominionists and the Mormons to establish a theocracy, which they have already succeeded in doing in some municipalities and states.
Do not entertain these people in your home. When missionaries knock on your door, simply do not answer. Do not think you can reason with such people; those like the Mormons harbor disdain for non-members. They despise and subjugate women and girls. You do not owe them as much as the time of day. If you suffer from such visitations often, put up “No Soliciting” and “No Trespassing” signs and let them know you expect them to abide by the law.
Do not give Christians the opportunity to harass you. This is a problem in certain parts of the country, especially those dominated by Evangelicals, Born Agains and other types of radicals. all.
When you are approached by them at work or elsewhere, let them know that you are not interested in attending their church and if they persist in harassing you about it, you will report them.
Be on guard with Christians, especially, in the work place because they will usually start out talking nicely to you, but turn angry and vengeful quickly if they are unable to dominate you. Don’t fall into their trap. It can cause a lot of problems for you at work. If anyone asks you about religion at work, just tell them it’s a topic you never discuss. If they persist in trying to convert you or nag you about coming to their church, take it up with whoever is in charge. Never reveal your hand – don’t discuss your own beliefs or lack thereof.
Do not frequent their businesses, especially those that are openly Christian and aggressive toward others. The problem of frequenting businesses that use our money to support questionable causes or who work to lobby government against our own interests has been drawn to the public’s attention most recently by the controversy surrounding Chick-fil-a. They speak with a soft voice while they commit evil acts – in this instance giving part of their profits to a hate group lobbying to restrict the civil rights of an entire group of people.
Recognize Christian duplicity; don’t give them the benefit of the doubt and feel free to judge them – they’re certainly judging you.
Stay in the closet. Unless you live in a part of the country where witchcraft is tolerated, do not come out in the open so they can do something to harm you. In the U.S., witches are being denied leases, postal and other services. Some have even had their houses burned down by Christians.
If you hold meetings at your home, do so discreetly. Right now, there’s a family in the southern midiwest who is being harassed by their neighbors because they have held a Wiccan ceremony in their back yard. If you are in an area where there are lots of hostile Christians, choose a place away from your home to conduct outdoor rituals. If you conduct meetings at your home, instruct people to wear their mundane clothes, at least, as they’re coming and going. Technically, you have basic civil rights under the law, however, this doesn’t mean much in real life when you’re not receiving basic services (like postal service) and the neighbors are vandalizing your house.
When they commit crimes against you and you have no legal recourse, use your knowledge of the Dark Arts to bring justice and balance to the situation. Witchcraft, including the Dark Arts should be used as a force against evil and as a means to bring equality to a situation where your enemies have tipped the scales against you.
The Dark Arts are a witch’s natural protection. Just like an animal in the wild has claws and teeth with which to defend itself, we have witchcraft. It’s your natural right to use it in your own self-defense and the defense of innocent people. Do not let the fear mongers dissuade you from that which is your natural right.
Do not worry about harm coming to you as a result. This notion is a Christian invention intended to disarm their victims. It has crept into modern forms of witchcraft, many of which are little different from Christianity except they replaced the godhead. If you accept these ideas, you do so at your own detriment. “Do as thou wilt” is the natural occult scientific law. This is not meant to be a moral code, but a statement of fact.
You are certainly under no obligation to aide and abet those who secretly and sometimes openly speak and act in ways that harm you. Protect yourself and those you love.
Anti-witchcraft Groups to Monitor
Some of these groups mentioned below seem very bizarre and we may be inclined to laugh at what they are doing, but they are a serious threat because many prominent politicians and media figures are directly involved with them and they have ties with powerful political lobbies. They have vowed to destroy witchcraft and root out paganism. They advocate the subjugation of women and have attempted to turn back the progress of the feminist movement and the Civil Rights Act. They are, also, openly hostile to the LGBT community. Taking into account the violence directed at us in their books and their extremely violent history, this is a credible threat – yes, even in the 21st century.
They are dangerous, not only because they are well-organized, but they have been working quietly behind the scenes for years. The Evangelical expansion into government began in the 1950s. The Dominionsts have been working in the shadows for almost 15 years with only a handful atheists attempting to gently warn us about them.
Glenn Beck, Mike Huckabee, Mitt Romney, Michelle Bachman, Sarah Palin are examples of radical, Christians who have wormed their way into prominence in politics or in the political media. Since the Reagan era, the Republican Party has been infiltrated by Evangelicals and their radical anti-woman and anti-freedom ideas.
The following is by no means a comprehensive list or organizations and it will be added to as more information comes to my attention:
Alliance Defending Freedom of Scottsdale, Arizona: http://www.alliancedefendingfreedom.org/ – This deceptively named organization is about freedom for Christians only! According to the MSNBC article, “Pastors endorse candidates and Thumb Their Noses at the IRS,” November 5, 2012 (http://usnews.nbcnews.com/_news/2012/11/04/14703656-pulpit-politics-pastors-endorse-candidates-thumbing-noses-at-the-irs?lite),” this organization is responsible for organizing 1,600 pastors across the United States to endorse candidates for the U.S. Presidency for an event they called “Pulpit Freedom Sunday,” in violation of the law and at the risk of losing their Tax-free Status with the IRS.
American Family Association: http://www.afa.net – A hate group documented by the Southern Poverty Law Center that seeks to exert its influence primarily through media.
American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC): http://www.alec.org – This organization looks conservative, but benign on the surface, however, they have been responsible for a lot of extremist right-wing legislation throughout the U.S. including the disturbing state rape bills in states like Virginia and Texas in just the past year. They have worked against the little legislation in existence to protect victims of domestic violence. They have tried to make it difficult for women to get medication and healthcare, even when they pay for it themselves, and they are behind the recent political conflict in Wisconsin involving pensions. Learn the truth about ALEC at: http://www.AlecExposed.org
The Champions: http://www.forefunner.com – This is a hate web site by Jay Roberts, a pro-life Christian. He is the author of the article, “Child Sacrifice in the New Age” referenced above, which accused witches and, in particular, Wiccans of sacrificing children.
Christian Broadcasting Network: http://www.cbn.com – Features programming promoting hate of witchcraft and disseminates lies an disinformation about the practice of witchcraft and Wicca.
Focus on the Family: http://www.focusonthefamily.org – This is a reincarnation of the original Focus on the Family founded by Pat Robertson. They broadcast, produce a magazine and provide counseling services. The original Focus on the Family organization was (and possibly this organization still is) the source of the evil alliance of Catholics, Mormons, Baptists, Presbyterians and other politicians within the Republican Party. By the mid-1980s, they had so much power that no one could get elected to any significant position in the U.S. without their approval. This is why they’re always on about their “faith” whenever they’re running for office. This is, also, why most of them are men, most are white, most have trophy families that fit the Christian model, most are anti-woman, anti-gay, etc. They are are shills of the Evangelicals.
Generals International: Generals.org – Cindy Jacobs’ organization; Jacobs is one of the leaders of the DC40, which organized against witchcraft and paganism in Washington D.C. Oct 3 – Nov 22. They appear to be Christian black magicians who gather on pagan High Holy days to pray against perceived pagan deities. They appear to believe that the Statue of Liberty is a representation of a demonic pagan goddess.

Founded by Mick Bickle in 1999, it is a fast growing center of nefarious activity in the midwest. One of their slogans is “Keep the fire burning,” which certainly has a double-meaning.
The Mormon Desire for Theocracy

Christian Reconstructionism: “Reconstructionism would eliminate not only democracy but many of its manifestations, such as labor unions, civil rights laws, and public schools. Women would be generally relegated to hearth and home. Insufficiently Christian men would be denied citizenship, perhaps executed. So severe is this theocracy that it would extend capital punishment beyond such crimes as kidnapping, rape, and murder to include, among other things, blasphemy, heresy, adultery, and homosexuality. (Politcal Research Associates, “Christian Reconstructionism,” March/June 1994 “Theocratic Dominionism Gains Influence” by Frederick Clarksonhttp://www.publiceye.org/magazine/v08n1/chrisre1.html
Christian Supremacy: This is an umbrella term for the dangerous movement of a number of Christian groups. It is described at: http://the-goddess.org/blog/2004/10/reprinta-crash-course-in-christian.html
The following is a quote from the article on Christian Supremacy referenced above at the-goddess.org (I urge you to read the entire article and research the names and resources given there, It was written in 2004. It is an eerie foreshadowing of the present situation):
I’m sure the names Pat Robertson, Jerry Falwell, D. James Kennedy, the late Francis Schaeffer and Billy Graham are familiar. The movement began with them. For a complete background, please read Katherine Yurica’s beautifully researched article The Despoiling of America.[http://www.yuricareport.com/Dominionism/TheDespoilingOfAmerica.htm] There are numerous sources on the internet, so I’m just going to distill the main points here.
They want to establish an American Theocracy. Their goal is to remove the checks and balances in the Constitution, and consider George W. Bush to be their leader, installed in his office by none other than “God” himself.
” “Why is this man in the White House? The majority of Americans did not vote for him. He’s in the White House because God put him there for a time such as this.” – Lt Gen William “Jerry” Boykin
“Gen. Boykin has repeatedly told Christian groups and prayer meetings that President George W Bush was chosen by God to lead the global fight against Satan.”
They favor the death penalty in many cases, including things like heresy, adultery, abortion and homosexuality. (BE VERY AFRAID of the fact that Ashcroft is after women’s medical records!)
They have been systematically working to gain control of all three branches of government, and have made great inroads thanks to Bush’s appointment of these Christian extremists to the judiciary, where they can attack Roe V. Wade and separation of church and state issues, and to key cabinet positions, where they are systematically supressing scientific findings that contradict their ideological goals. They’ve inplemented a global “gag rule” and are actively campaigning against any organization that promotes condom use or abortion. John Ashcroft’s Dept. of Justice won’t prosecute hate crimes against minority religions, and they are using the Patriot Act for drug crimes. They refuse to prosecute Christian extremists in this country – even when they blow up clinics – as terrorists. They’ve been running the Pentagon through the Office of Special Plans.
Dominionism: Dominionism is a term used to describe the political philosophy of politically active conservative Christians who are believed to seek influence or control over secular civil government through political action, especially in the United States, with the goal of establishing either a nation governed by Christians or one governed by a conservative Christian understanding of biblical law. (Wikipedia.org/wiki/Dominionism)
New Apostolic Reformation: The New Apostolic Reformation is a movement in Protestant Christianity largely associated with Pentecostalism and the Charismatic Movement. The basic thesis asserts that God is restoring the lost offices of church governance, namely the offices of Prophet and Apostle. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Apostolic_Reformation)
